Hello Lovelies!
On the 12th April 2014, myself, my mum and my cousin Chloe went to the ExCel Centre in Central London to visit the London Cake Show. Now I am unsure if this is the real name of the exhibition, but this is what we called it :)
I have always, and I still do, dream of having either a vintage, small, village tea room or a cake business so it was amazing to see all of the different types of cakes, i.e. the styles, the heights, the shapes etc. and I was inspired by all the wonderful work.
Below I have got some pictures of the work that the ladies and gentlemen created, and I must say the majority of the work was created by females, so men, you should get your game on!
So many of these cakes were absolutely amazing, they were all so creative and all deserved to win!
These sets of cupcakes were two of my favourites, however they were both disqualified. The task for the cupcake sections were that you had to have 12 cupcakes, 6 of them had to be identical and the other 6 had to be identical, however, as you can see the Despicable Me set were all different and the Mr Men set were all the same, apart from the books the characters are holding, each of the characters had different books therefore did not make it to the schedule.
I had a great time, looking and taking photos, (i took 175!) and will definitely be going next year, and I have even considered entering myself!
