♥ BLOGMAS - Day Five - Christmassy Nails! ♥

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am showing you how to do these lovely nails for Christmas.

It does not take long and all you need is...

A green nail varnish
A red nail varnish
A bottom coat
Glitter top coat
Black nail art pen
Varnish remover
Cotton pads
Nail file

Firstly, you need to wipe down ALL your nails with the remover, using a cotton wool pad.
Then file your nails to a nice shape.

Then put on the bottom coat, I use Nail Envy.

Then go ahead and paint all your nails, except your ring finger with the red varnish.

Next, take the green varnish and paint your ring finger - leave to dry!

Next, take your black nail art pen and draw a circle, on your middle finger, near the bottom of the nail.
Then draw to eyes (two dots!) and a little smile.

After the green is dry, take the glitter top coat and paint over the green, this gives your nails a little sparkle and definition for Christmas time :)

You could do the colours the opposite way round but its up to you :)

See you next time -

♥ BLOGMAS - Day Four - Christmas Cupcakes ♥

Hello lovelies!

Today I am going to be teaching you how to make Christmas Cupcakes!

To tell you the truth, they are normal cupcakes, but I have added a twist to them to make them feel extr Christmassy!

All you need is...

6oz butter
7.5oz self raising flour
7.5oz caster sugar
2 tablespoons milk
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

FOR THE BUTTER ICING

4oz butter
8oz icing sugar

TO TOP

Whole Nutmeg
Christmassy Cake Toppings
(I chose gingerbread men!)

METHOD:

Mix all of your ingredients together, starting with the butter and caster sugar.

Then mix half of your flour in with the butter cream

Then add your eggs

Add the rest of the flour, and mix

Then add your vanilla extract and milk

Begin to put the mixture into the cases

Bake for about 20 minutes or until you can press the top of the cake and the sponge bounces back.

ICING

Now mix together your butter and icing sugar.

Using a metal spatula, spread the butter icing onto the cupcakes.
Do these to all the cakes.

Now grab your decorations and nutmeg.

Get the Nutmeg, and a grater and gently grate some nutmeg onto the icing.

Then place your gingerbread men, or whatever decoration you have chosen, onto your cakes.

And there you have it!

Ta da!

I hope you have enjoyed this (late!) blogpost on these yummy Christmas Cupcakes!

Make sure to try these out yourself because they are super duper amazing!

❤ BLOGMAS - Day Three - Gift Ideas ❤

Hello Lovelies!

I am writing this on my iPad today, so excuse the typing :)

So today I am going to listing some things you can get for anyone, however as I don't really buy for males I don't really know what to suggest so, the following items are a bit female, but you can choose for who you want to buy for.

I'm going to start with female gifts. The following ideas are for all ages, but it just depends on who, you are buying for. Lets get started!

So the first set of gifts are LUSH products. Seriously, I am sure, even if someone can't stomach the smell of a LUSH store, I am sure that they will absolutely love it!

I recommend...

Bath Bombs
Sex Bomb
Butterball (Which is amazing for someone whom you may think cannot stomach the smell of a strong bath bomb!)
Space Girl (My sister recommends this because she is a space fan, so she absolutely loved this one!)

Bubble Bar
Melting Snowman
Pumpkin

The Bubblegum Lip Scrub is also so good during the winter because it really soothes your lips.

The next area of gifts is again, beauty. These products are from Boots.

Soap and Glory
They do a lot of gift sets which you can choose from.

The Sugar Crush body wash/body scrub. This stuff smells amazing! I am sure ANYONE would enjoy this body wash/scrub.

ALL of their body moisturisers are amazing and I can't pick one! But yes, their moisturisers are lovely.

Hand Food. This is the best hand cream I have ever ever had in my life! It is so good and you can get the small handbag size or you can get the bigger tube, but either one is great.

Barry M
I really like their gelly-hi shines and I also like their rupegular colours.

Their best range are the darker tones because the lighter ones do need multiple coats. So I definately recommended their dark purples, reds and blues.

OPI
I really love OPI nail varnishes, they are seriously amazing. My favourite collection is the Skyfall colours and the Minnie Mouse collection.

I really really REALLY love Big Apple Red. It's not a harsh red colour, its a soft, Christmassy colour which is great for this time of year.

Now this section of my post is for everyone....

Books
I really love the Cathy Cassidy collection 'The Chocolate Box Girls'

Graceland - a book of Elvis Presleys home

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

Is It Just Me? - Miranda Hart

Cupcake -Rachel Cohn

The Dan Brown collection - I asked my dad and these are his favourite books.

More Items
Gilly Hicks body sprays

Pens and notebooks from Paperchase

Box Sets of their favourite programme

Films that YOU love!

Anything YOU like that is suitable for them!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and has given you an insight into what to get for your family or friends.

Goodbye lovelies have a lovely day/night x

♥ BLOGMAS - Day Two - My Christmas ♥

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you enjoyed my first BLOGMAS post

So today I am going to be talking about my personal Christmas and what I do at Christmas.

I love Christmas, it is amazing. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, everyone comes together and so many people are friendly. The atmosphere everywhere you go is so jolly and festive. I just wish that it was like this all year round!

Christmas day always changes, every year. We sometimes go to my dad's sisters, my aunt, or sometimes we go my mum's brothers, my uncle and sometimes they come to mine. This year, we are going to my dad's sister, my aunt and we are going with my nanny and grandad.

On Christmas morning, I get up and wait in bed until my sister gets up. After my sister gets up, we go and wake up my parents. Then we run downstairs and open our presents (which for me is a very exciting time in the day!) Then we'll have an AMAZING breakfast! (Writing this now is making my mouth water!)

I just love the atmosphere at Christmas! The lights, the baubels, the fake snow and the candles! Everything is just so cosy, red and warm.

I think the best time of Christmas is definitely the food! Christmas dinner is always the best! The turkey, the mash, the peas, the parsnips, the bread sauce.... THE EVERYTHING!

I really can't tell you how much I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!

It is TRULY the best time of the year and I just hope you all have an amazing Christmas, but I'm sure you will because Christmas is the happiest time and if you need to express your Christmassy feelings.... EXPRESS THEM HERE, or in the street, or in the shower, or in the bath, or in your hous.....

I hope you have a good week x

How To: Rocky Road

Hi lovelies!

Today's post is a How To on Rocky Road. It is one of my favourite deserts, so I hope you enjoy it.

You want your Rocky Road to be quite thick, you don't want to end up with a thin Rocky Road.
I say this because this is exactly what happened to me. I am going to give you the recipe, doubled - just to insure you have a thick Rocky Road.

All you need is...

250g butter
600g milk chocolate
6 tablespoons of golden syrup
400g digestive biscuits
200 grams marshmallows (or however many you want really!)
Cranberries (however many you want)
Glace cherries - Around 9
Icing sugar to dust (optional)

I did the method in two lots because you have to melt the chocolate and butter, this would take a long time because there is a lot of chocolate and butter.

So I advise halving the mixture and doing the method in two lots.

Method:

1. Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a saucepan over a low heat, you do not want to burn the chocolate. Put aside around 125ml of the chocolate mixture.

2. Put the biscuits into a freezer bag and using a rolling pin you need to bash the biscuits making crumbs and small chunks of biscuits.

3. Fold the biscuit pieces into the chocolate mixture, try not to break down the bigger parts of biscuit.

4. Add most of the marshmallows into the mixture and then pour into a tray, lined with grease-proof paper.

5. Chop the glace cherries and add them to the mixture. Also add the Cranberries

 6. Sprinkle the rest of the marshmallows and drizzle the left over chocolate.

7. Refrigerate overnight

So I hope you have enjoyed this food tutorial. I love Rocky Road and I hope you enjoy making the Rocky Road and if you do make it, maybe you could Instagram it and tag me - @imlozza

Bye bye lovelies!

How To Thursday - Make Your Nails Look Neat

I  love having long nails, unfortunately, my nails are very weak therefore they break whenever the get long.

So, I had to come up with a solution to make my nails look neat without being odd lengths and badly shaped.

First, wash your hands with warm, clean water. This will make your nails soft which is makes it easier to file them. You could also do this after a bath or a shower because it does the same job.

Next, you need to get a cuticle pusher/orange nail stick, and push the skin at the top of your nails away from you, this will make your nails look longer and neater.

The next step is to use a good nail file. I find the nail files from Boots are the best, the black ones, they're amazing! All I do is file my nails to make them all have curved edges, I also make sure they are all the same size, otherwise they don't look neat. My thumbnails are quite long, and it looks neater when they are curved all the way around the nail.

Using the pointed edge of the cuticle pusher, I then clean under my nails. This just gets all the grime from under your nails.

Now I just go wash my hands under hot running water and soap.

I now use OPI's Nail Envy Original to strengthen my nails, it also helps them to grow a little, however, when they grow they tend to break extreamly short and it hurts a lot, so, I just use the nail envy to strengthen my nails. So, I just file my nails everyday so they don't grow as much.
I put two coats of this varnish on, and everyday for a week I top it up with one coat. Then at the end of the week I take it all off and repeat the process.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and find it useful c:

I'm going to be doing BLOGMAS this year, which is basically VLOGMAS. If you don't know wha that is, it is where you post a vlog, everyday leading up to Christmas. I'm going to be doing the blog version  and I am really excited to do it :)

Bye bye lovelies x

Review - Everyday Products

Hello everyone!

Maybe the title doesn't make sense, but this post will explain everything. One note, every Friday (or every Friday I can post) I am going to do a review on something! Today, I am going to give you a quick review on products I use daily!

I am going to write this in the order I use the products in.

The first 'product' I use is water. It's hardly a product, but it is a great way to start the day. I simply wash/splash my face a couple of times with the water. I then just dry my face on a dry towel/flannel. I do this after I have breakfast and before I've brushed my teeth.

Now I brush my teeth, I use a Colgate toothpaste, but you don't really need to know about that...

I then use Nivea day moisturiser, I massage the moisturiser into my T-Zone (forehead, nose & chin) and then use circular motions to moisturise my cheeks.

Make up time! (Now I only use these make up products if I'm going out, for school or filming a video.)

The first make up item is Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer. I just pop this under my eyes and on any red patches on my skin. I DO NOT put it on spots or dry skin, because the concealer will just dry out the skin/spot even more. This concealer is amazing, it covers my sleepy eyes in the morning and covers up any redness very quickly. So I totally recommend this product!

The next make up product I use is Maybelline Rocket Volume Express in the colour black. I don't curl my lashes, i just put the mascara straight on. This mascara is amazing! It has a really nice brush and even though I have brownish lashes, it doesn't look false or un natural.

I'll then pop on some lip balm, now in the spring/summer and beginning of autumn I'll use a babylips, usually a clear one because its the morning. In the late autumn and winter I just use plain old Vaseline. It really helps my lips out, making sure they don't begin to crack.

If I need to, I'll just spray in some dry shampoo.

Last but definitely not least I put on a drop of hand gel and spray some scent on mah boddyyyy :D

Then I'm done!

I hope you have a very lovely day/night/evening whatever :)
